December The Melt Crowd Unboxing

I have been looking forward to the December Melt Crowd box since I saw the release of all their Christmas scents. We got a little sneak peek of some of the scents in Novembers box, but this one is amazing. They have gone above and beyond with this box & included some cute little goodies.

So, in this box, we got 9 melts instead of the usual 8 and a little Flamingo tree ornament which is super adorable and a really nice touch in my opinion. I like that even though this is a festive box, they've included some normal scents for those of us (not me) who hate everything Christmassy or festive. This box includes:

Mulled Wine and Berries: mulled wine and including apple, sweet berries, wine, brandy, orange, clove, ginger, cinnamon and vanilla. This is a really nice scent and definitely smells like mulled wine. Tbh, I'm not a lover of mulled wine and hate any drinks that have any spices in them, but this is surprisingly pleasant and the berries are more prominent that the ginger, clove and cinnamon.

Black Cherry: This is my least favourite scent in the box, I'd say. It's one of those overly sickly, fake cherry smells and it just isn't pleasant to me. The scent is really strong, though, so for those who love the synthetic cherry smell, this will have a great throw.

Mistletoe: I don't really know how to describe this one without sounding like a plonker and they don't have it on their website to get a description. It smells like greenery and trees and grass. There, did it. It's alright, not really my cup of tea and to me, not very Christmassy. I suppose it would be good to make your living room smell like you have a real Christmas tree rather than a fake one.

Asian Pear & Plum: This is so nice and fruity, making a nice change from the spice based scents in the box. It smells of pears and plum (duh) but also has a floral note to it. I can't really say much more about this one, other than it's nice and fruity.

Snow Angel: Icy and sweet, Snow Angel is a mouth-watering accord of fresh peppermint and spearmint blended with buttercream. Oh my goodness, come to momma! This was the extra little treat in the box and it has a 6 on it, making me think that they might have had an advent calendar thing going on. This smells exactly like Murray Mints! Yano, the type you buy before you go on a plane to stop your ears from popping. I love this and I really need to buy the mega melt form of it before it disappears. I wish they'd made this into a candle.

Black Tea & Almond: Say hello to the "going to Sams" melt of the box, there's always one lol! This isn't masculine, but it's not overly sweet and the almond doesn't really come through all that much. It's nice, but just not something I'd ever pick for myself.

Vanilla Milk Bottles: This is sugar and vanilla and definitely reminds me of those milk bottle sweets. The scent is really nice and this is the only one I've burned so far and I've got to say I'm quite disappointed. The throw is just rubbish, you can only really smell it if you stand close to the burner, which is pants. This smelt really nice, but it's just rubbish is terms of scent throw and the time it lasted.

Christmas Pudding: Rich and sweet, Christmas Pudding mixes notes of raisins, figs, hints of pear, cinnamon, clove and vanilla. This is definitely rich and sweet like it's described. It's fruity and spicy, so not exactly my favourite. This could be a good Christmas day wax melt, though, as it definitely invokes some Christmas feels.

Cinnamon Sticks: Warm and spicy, Cinnamon Sticks is a supreme accord with cinnamon, ginger and orange on a base of vanilla. This is the one that I was dreading, I just hate cinnamon so fucking much. I love cinnamon rolls and food with cinnamon in, but the smell is just something I can't stand. I do love the pretty gold packaging, I just hate cinnamon. Fuck you cinnamon, unless you're in food, then yano I like you.

I'm really impressed with this box overall and think they've done well for the Christmas box. Flamingo Candles really do great wax melts and I'm definitely using the 20% off coupon for some Christmas shopping. If you're interested in getting The Melt Crowd, it's only £10 a month and in your first box, you get a free burner. A little note, be extra careful when burning your tealights. The other day I bought some of the extra large tealights which are meant to burn for longer and it exploded, shattering my burner. It wasn't the wax getting too hot or the burner, it was the actual tealight. Luckily, my mum was at the sink when it happened and managed to get it straight under the cold tap, she did get wax all over herself which was really hot. So, especially at Christmas, be extra vigilant and make sure it's not in reach of children.

Til' next time! XOXO
